Information  and  communication  technology

We use the information and communication technology in everywhere and everytime.

One of the first electronic computers was invented in the 1940s by team of code breakers working at Bletchley Park in the UK. They were trying to decode messages sent by German forces during World War II. This machine was called Colossus.

ICT`s develop

ICT is very slowly developed between 1940 to 1980. But since 1990 ICT's development was very fast. Nowadays we use many kind of ICT. For example smart phone, laptop etc. Also we use handheld computer.

Hardware is:

The physical parts of a computer system, the parts of the system that you can feel or touch.

Software

The set of instructions that make the computer system do something is called the software.  There are two types of software:

For example applications software type is:

1. Word processing applications are used to produce letters, reports and memos
2. Database programs are used to store and retrieve information
3. Spreadsheet applications are used for tasks that involve calculations or graphs and charts
4. Desktop-publishing packages(DTP) are used to produce posters, newsletters and magazines
5. Graphics programs are used for artwork
6. Computers-aided design packages are used to produce detailed design and plans
7. Communications software such as web browsers and email programs are used to access the internet andsend and receive email
8. Web page editors are used to create web pages
9. Audio production and editing programs are a common way of producing high-quality music at low cost
